Description |
Fl. 100 mm wide, facing up; perianth and other petaloid segments 35 mm long, in two whorls of six, irregularly arranged, very broad in outline, truncate, light greenish yellow 8B to vivid yellow 9A, or sometimes paler (4C) in tone, creased, of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the outer whorl mucronate, spreading, a little concave, with margins wavy; the inner whorl scarcely mucronate, strongly inflexed, with margins folded inwards or deeply incurved; corona segments 30 mm long, interspersed among the petaloid segments, broad, yellow-orange (17A), narrowly ribbed, lightly frilled, crumpled towards centre.
