Fl. rounded, 70 mm wide; perianth segments 29 mm long, very broad, blunt, yellow, spreading, concave, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping; the inner segments narrower, shouldered at base; corona 14 mm long, funnel-shaped, smooth, mouth expanded, lightly ribbed and wavy, orange, with a band of red at rim, with rim crenate.
