Fl. forming a double triangle; perianth and other petaloid segments in two or more whorls; the outer whorls broadly ovate, blunt, slightly mucronate, spreading, plane, smooth, overlapping half; the inner whorl narrower, shorter, less prominently mucronate, deeply inflexed, folded inwards from midrib; corona segments one-third the length and half the width of the petaloid segments and interspersed among the inner whorls, becoming successively shorter and more strongly inflexed towards the centre, smooth and a little wavy.
