Description |
Fl. rounded, 100mm wide; perianth and other petaloid segments in three or more whorls; the outer whorls 42mm long, roundish, very broad, with white mucro, spreading, plane or with margins incurling, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the inner whorls significantly shorter, strongly inflexed, concave, scarcely mucronate; corona segments in several whorls; the outer whorl 32mm long, enclosing the inner whorls of petaloid and corona segments, broad, sometimes bi-lobed, with margins lightly ribbed and wavy; the inner whorls shorter, more deeply inflexed, lightly crumpled and clustered at centre. Mid-season. The colour of the corona segments may vary, sometimes developing orange tones |
