Description |
Fl. rounded, 95mm wide, facing upwards; perianth segments in two whorls; the outer whorl 35mm long, roundish, very broad, light yellow (4D), with darker yellow (5C) at base and along margins and slight white mucro, a little reflexed, concave or with margins incurved, creased, of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the inner whorl shouldered at base, scarcely mucronate, light greenish yellow 4C, with midrib light yellow (4D), with orange-yellow (13B) towards base of midrib; corona 25mm long, orange-yellow (13B), sometimes with white (NN155A) at apex and along margins, either entire and filled with segments or split open with segments successively shorter and more inflexed towards centre, folded along midrib, crumpled and lightly frilled.
