Fl. forming a double triangle; perianth segments broadly ovate, truncate, mucronate, spreading, plane or with margins a little wavy or incurling towards apex, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the inner segments narrower, scarcely mucronate; corona disk-shaped, red, with a narrow band of a darker tone at rim, mouth ribbed and wavy, with rim crenate.
