Description |
Fl. 118mm wide, facing slightly upwards; perianth and other petaloid segments in three or more whorls, pure white; the outer whorls 48mm long, ovate, blunt, spreading, plane or with margins incurved, with midrib showing, of heavy substance, overlapping half; the inner segments a little narrower; the inner whorls inflexed and more nearly concave, successively shorter towards the centre; corona segments 34mm long, creamy white, interspersed among the inner whorls of petaloid segments and clustered at centre, inflexed, lobed, ribbed, a little crumpled and lightly frilled. Strongly scented. Mid-season |
