Description |
Fl. 98mm wide; perianth segments 32mm long, broadly ovate, blunt, slightly mucronate, spreading, plane or with margins incurling, with midrib showing, of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the inner segments narrower, scarcely mucronate, a little inflexed; corona 22mm long, split to base, forming an outer and an inner whorl of three segments, three-quarters the length of and the same width as the perianth segments, opening deep reddish pink, becoming pale pink, darker in tone at the margins; the outer whorl closely overlying the perianth segments, bi-lobed, with lobes overlapping; the inner whorl somewhat inflexed, lobed, folded along midrib and frilled.
