Fl. 85mm wide, facing upwards; perianth and other petaloid segments in two whorls, brilliant greenish yellow 4A, with pale greenish yellow (4D) at base becoming white; the outer whorl 40mm long, roundish, very broad, with slight white mucro, a little reflexed, concave, with midrib showing, of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the inner segments narrower; the inner whorl contained within the corona, and interspersed among the corona segments, strongly inflexed, folded or crumpled; the corona in two or more whorls, vivid yellow 9A; the outer whorl 40mm long, cup-shaped and completely enclosing the inner whorls of petaloid and corona segments, mouth expanded, lightly ribbed, irregularly and deeply lobed, with lobes overlapping in places, with rim broadly flanged and notched; the inner corona segments tightly clustered, frilled and crenate.
