Fl. star-shaped, 41mm wide, deep yellow; perianth segments 16mm long, ovate, blunt, with pale mucro, slightly inflexed, creased and of heavy substance, overlapping a quarter; the inner segments narrower, scarcely mucronate; corona 17mm long, cylindrical, smooth, mouth a little constricted, with rim broadly flanged and deeply notched.
