Description |
Fl. 60mm wide, facing upwards; perianth and other petaloid segments in three whorls, greenish white 155C with a band of brilliant greenish yellow 5A at base; the outer whorls 40mm long, very broadly ovate, truncate, slightly mucronate, spreading, concave, with margins incurved, with midrib showing, of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the inner whorl narrower, inflexed, concave or folded inwards along midrib; the corona in two whorls interspersed among the petaloid segments; the outer whorl 30mm long, brilliant greenish yellow 5A, ribbed, irregularly and shallowly lobed, with lobes overlapping; the inner whorl clustered at centre, folded and wavy, light greenish yellow 8B, sometimes touched greenish white 155C at the margins and orange (24B) towards the apex.
