Fls 5-8 per stem, 40mm wide; perianth segments 15mm long, very broadly ovate, blunt, prominently mucronate, opening yellow becoming white, spreading, concave, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the inner segments scarcely mucronate, with margins incurling or wavy, inflexed; corona 6mm long, bowl-shaped, opening orange becoming yellow, mouth expanded, ribbed and a little wavy, sometimes three-lobed, with rim minutely crenate.
