Fls 1-2 per stem, star-shaped, 41mm wide, facing downwards, deep golden yellow; perianth segments 24mm long, lanceolate, acute, with prominent pale mucro, reflexed, plane, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping at base only; corona 10mm long, cylindrical, smooth, mouth straight, ribbed and a little wavy, with rim notched.
